Chris Black is a qualified Electronic and Electrical Engineer who started his career at Transco (now National Grid) designing and estimating extensions to the UK gas network. He moved into IT in 2001 where he was part of a team that designed and implemented a new CAD based network modelling tool which is still in use today.

For the next 10 years he designed and implemented several back office and operational based systems within the utilities sector and in 2011 met Binary when implementing AX 2012 into Fulcrum, a subsidiary of National Grid that had been recently sold.

After working alongside Binary as a partner for 6 years, in 2017 Chris left his role as Head of IT at Fulcrum to join the founding members of Binary as they looked to grow the business.

Chris will never say no to a game of football, having played for 45+ years he plays 4 time a week.
